I love waterfronts. Most of us love waterfronts. Heck, in land-locked Oklahoma City, with a brook for a river, we’ve manufactured waterfronts. We brought water to the front with Bricktown, and we brought front to the water with the Boathouse District, which makes the Oklahoma River quite the sporting endeavor.

First Urban Girl Scout camp to combine camping, STEM activities

The Girl Scouts of Western Oklahoma is in the midst of building the nation’s first Urban Girl Scout camp, just east of the Oklahoma City Zoo. Linda Whittington, chairman of the Camp Trivera capital campaign, and Farooq Karim, vice president of REES Architecture and overseer of the project, spoke to Oklahoma City’s Rotary Club Tuesday about the camp.
